We should allow parents to decide which school to send their children no matter where they live. This will incentives schools to increase their quality because they will be competing for students and put the focus back on the children and parents. Teachers are focused on pleasing who pays them. Currently they are more concerned with making the bureaucracy happy than the parents. If the pay was correlated with quality and making family’s happy the quality of education will increase.
